FAQ

A >>> How can the DNA be seen with the naked eye?
DNA is a tiny molecule that cannot be seen by the naked eye, however, through a special extraction and precipitation process, we isolate a large number of DNA molecules that are then crystallized and placed in a vial. * Please note that the appearance of every processed DNA sample is different, as is shown below.

B >>> How long can the DNA inside the necklace be kept? Will it disappear?
Theoretically, DNA is stable at room temperature. However, if the DNA is heated excessively or the vial is damaged, the DNA may be destroyed. The DNA will not disappear.

C >>> Can I clone the material in the vial?
LAByrinth’s method of DNA extraction is for genetic identification only; extraction for the purpose of cloning is much more complicated.

D >>> Is the liquid inside the necklace safe?
The liquid inside is a mixture of glycerol and water, thus an organic compound and non-toxic. However, if the vial is damaged, your concern should be to make sure you are not cut by the glass. Although the liquid is non-toxic, avoid direct contact and wash your hands thoroughly.

E >>> Is there a Warranty?
Every LAByrinth item comes with a One-year Warranty. Please contact us for more details.

F >>> How can I tell if the sample inside the pendant is authentic?
Each LAByrinth item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by our Chief Scientific Officer. Please see certification section.
